At WatcherWolf (https://watcherwolf.com) we use only necessary cookies so the website works. We don’t use analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. That’s why you won’t see a banner asking for permission: there’s nothing optional to accept.
1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies remember information between pages or visits, such as your theme preference or whether you’re logged in.
2. Cookies we use
Necessary cookies (always on). They are essential for the website to work and don’t require consent:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keep you securely logged in to the dashboard. | Session |
| Theme preference | Remember whether you prefer the website in light or dark mode. It is stored in your browser and not sent to any server. | Until you delete it |
Language preference (ww_lang) | Remember whether you use the dashboard in Spanish or English. | 1 year |
Analytics cookies: none. We don’t set cookies to measure visits.
3. How we measure visits (without cookies)
To know how many people visit the website and which pages interest them, we use Ahrefs Analytics (Ahrefs Pte. Ltd.), a cookieless analytics tool: it doesn’t store or read anything on your device, doesn’t assign you an identifier and doesn’t follow you across websites. It only records aggregated visit data, such as the page viewed, the country or where the traffic comes from. We don’t build profiles or use this data for advertising.
You can see how it handles data in Ahrefs’ privacy policy.
To see how people move around the website (heatmaps and anonymous recordings, with forms masked) we use Microsoft Clarity, also cookieless: we use it without consent here and it stores nothing on your device.
Until August 2026 we used Google Analytics 4, which did set cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and only ran with your consent. We have removed it completely: it no longer loads, and any cookies it left in your browser are deleted automatically the next time you visit.
4. How to manage them in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Bear in mind that turning off necessary cookies may stop the dashboard from working. Official guides:
